The District Sales Manager (DM) manages the District’s Sales employees in order to achieve and exceed sales plans within specified budget. A DAY IN THE LIFE:

Provide coaching and feedback to Diabetes Territory Managers through field visits and phone contact. Provide a clear vision for the district and motivates the team.

Ensure maximum sales coverage with resources available to achieve peak performance; puts metrics in place to measure success over time.

Provides feedback and evaluation of performance after sales calls, presentations, etc., in order to improve technical and selling skills of sales people. Creates development opportunities and assesses performance and skill growth over time for each direct report.

Ensure all field personnel are meeting or exceeding all objectives set including both revenue based objectives and market development objectives. This includes working strategically with each direct report to analyze and interpret the customer needs of the territory.

Recruit, interview, and hire talented field employees.

Ensure that new sales staff receives appropriate orientation and training.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with all key account personnel within the District in order to support selling, market development, service efforts and clinical programs.

Provide performance and salary review of field personnel annually and submit recommendations to appropriate management.

Maintain sales data and records on each territory in order to understand market trends, provide direction to employees, and communicate competitive data. Uses strong business acumen and metrics to manage district and provide feedback to Regional Sales VP.

Interpret and explain business/marketing policies and programs to employees in order to maintain consistency and responsiveness to customer needs, ensuring that market and territory strategies are fully executed.

Effectively control and monitor selling expenses for the District.

Provide input to the Regional Sales VP on sales strategies, promotions, staffing needs, new product indications and product acceptance.

MUST HAVE – MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree

Minimum of 5 years successful medical device/pharmaceutical/healthcare sales experience.

2 years previous work experience having direct reports and managing teams -OR- 3 years’ successful Medtronic Diabetes Field Sales experience as a Territory Manager/Sr Territory Manager

NV Stroke Specialist III – Baltimore

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Provide a focused approach to developing new and under-penetrated markets, key opinion leaders, and targeted accounts to achieve sales revenue targets and grow market size/share for a specified region, by promoting, selling and servicing our products and therapies. RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Interface with hospital personnel to evaluate institution needs and conduct training for safe and effective use of SolitaireFR, access products, and stroke treatment pathways independently with limited supervision of the Zone Manager.
* Develops (and may make improvements) of programs initiatives around those protocols to build stroke centers.
* Identify customer concerns and create training that provides solutions and support the Zone Managers efforts to achieve consistent sales quotas.
* Support sales initiatives through development, facilitation and execution of products and programs defined to improve patient flow to stroke centers.
* Develop faculty, identify target institutions, and coordinate KOL activities.
* Drive educational campaigns to Air Ambulance personnel, EMS and first responder personnel.
* Recommends changes in strategies and tactics to build public awareness.
* Drives sales of Medtronic products including but not limited to the Solitaire Flow Restoration Device and access products within assigned territory measured against individual and Department revenue quota.
* Provides technical training on safe and effective use of Solitaire FR

* Drives systems of care education for ischemic stroke clinical trials and other clinical research under the direction of the Zone Managers and Medtronic Clinical Affairs.
* Plans and conducts educational sessions for acute ischemic stroke and mechanical thrombectomy to healthcare practitioners under the direction of the Zone Managers.
* Plans and conducts public awareness informational programs under the direction of the Zone Managers.
* Plans and drives programs and products utilization such as but not limited to EMS stroke protocols, neurologists, emergency room physicians and staff, stroke coordinators, transfer of stroke patients to interventional treating hospitals and other initiatives identified by the Zone Managers.
* Participates in and arranges local, regional and national HCP systems of care and product education meetings.
* Responsible for the development, management, and maintaining business relationships to build product line experts to help generate sales growth.
* Creates procedure development programs for key institutions to support Zone Managers initiatives.
* Act as the liaison between the Zone Managers, Territory Managers, Marketing, and other internal stakeholders to ensure the incorporation of the chosen sales methods.
* Works in collaboration with the Zone Manager to develop stroke network and procedure development initiatives around hospital stroke treatment teams, ensuring alignment with the overall strategic direction of the Stoke Therapy Systems department.
* Available for “on call” for emergent stroke case support 24/7
* Respond to urgent and emergent cases within assigned geography
* Review and discuss salient clinical data pertinent to responsible products represented.
* Provides case coverage (may include evenings and weekends)
* Performs minimum sales per day
* Up to 70% travel required.

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor’s Degree
* 5+ years in medical or hospital service-line function, medical sales management or marketing.
* Demonstrated experience in properly functioning within an office or hospital based operating room or cath lab setting.
* Seasoned sales professional with a proven track record of results in medical sales and training
* Experienced facilitator/ presenter in front of large audiences
* Complete knowledge of company’s products and services

* Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, medical procedures and the medical device industry

NICE TO HAVE:
